[T3] squareback sunroof rebuild

Allright,

I have my sunroof (moonroof, whatever) all torn apart on my bedroom floor, and 
I'm ready to put it all back together.  I was wondering if there is some kind 
of grease or oil I should apply to the cables before re-installing them, they 
are totally clean as I had to rebuild the sunroof because I had got sand in the 
cables.  I am guessing I should lube them up somehow but I am just wondering 
the best way to do it,
