IIRC, the T4 valve seats were factory installed with a fairly "loose" fit between the seat and the head (the factory way). When the head gets "too hot" they can drop, since the seat doesn't expand as much as the head does. I *think* it was more of a BusT4 problem than a 411/914 T4 problem, but I could be way off base ... Installing the seats with a tight interference fit (the *right* way) seems to take care of the problem .. I seem to recall reading somewhere about a taper-lock with the installation as well, but I don't know for sure.
