I guess that's why I couldn't get two screws I got from my other engine in the spots I wanted them, even though they looked like standard cooling tin screws. Thanks everyone for the info on these by the way... Nice to have a few sources for them, as well as other metric bolts. The local auto-parts stores (there are five of them on the seven mile trip from here to my car) are spotty at best when it comes to bolts for autos. Most of the "bolts" areas of the stores have been ransacked. Looks like people just break open the packages and take what they want without paying for it. I'm told the distributors know this and have little motivation to keep these stores stocked with nuts, bolts & washers, etc. ===== -------------------------------------------- 1971 FI AT Squareback http://www.tiserves.com/VW/ vw_variant71@yahoo.com -------------------------------------------- __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
