I'd try to take it apart and see what you find. On a 71 there is even a push-on connector that you can actually use to hot wire the ignition if you need to while you're figuring out what to do next. Given what you've described I find myself wondering if something has just come apart. Be careful with this, there are small parts that can get lost easily. > In fact, CAN I get a replacement switch easily for a 71? There are a few out there somewhere, but they're hard to find. 71 was a one year only switch. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
