<x-charset utf-8>Well, my problems continue: I fixed several little things on the FI, new connector to injector, cleaned trigger points, took the two bus spark plugs (CC?) that were in there by accident and put the proper W8AC plugs in (what a bonehead I can be!), fixed a vacuum leak. Now it is cruising really well, but has a couple of rough spots on the way up, which I can live with. But what I can't live with is that occasionally the whole system decides to turn off, just like I switched the ignition off. What could cause this, besides a faulty ignition switch? I've had problems with the switch, but I am pretty sure it isnt the problem as I have tried to get it to fail by jiggling it as I am driving, and have never gotten it to turn off. I am suspecting a problem with the voltage regulator. A couple of days ago, I checked the voltage as per Jim A's instructions and got 13.2 volts. As I posted earlier, the red wire going to the fuel injection power supply was connected poorly, causing a poor connection with the main positive battery cable, which I fixed. After this I tried the voltage check again and was now up to 13.6 volts. Still a little low, right? My question is this: If there is not enough voltage to run the FI, what happens? Will the entire system just shut down and need to be restarted? Can my wholesale electrical failure result from this?
