[T3] Confused About Kick Down Switch

<x-flowed>I just installed a new KDS and now my car kicks down at the slightest
accelleration. When I disconnect the two wires running to it, I
no KD at all during normal driving. Then I was driving up an
incline on-ramp and it kicked down. Huh? Does the AT have a backup
KD?

By the way, should there be something hooked to the little paddle
on the KDS?
