	Heather, a quick check -- make sure that the hose between the 
manifold pressure sensor and the intake air distributor is intact and 
well-connected at both ends.

	If this hose is off, the f.i. will think that you're flooring 
the gas pedal, and will *dump* gas through the injectors.  Car runs 
like garbage and you get loads of smoke through the tailpipe.

	Hope you're problems as simple as this!!
