Re: [T3] spring-loaded antenna

<x-flowed>I had a similar antenna on my Variant, I bought it in the early 90s. Mine wasnt a Hirschmann, but it was some German brand, which name has completely left my brain for good.

It was designed to slip into the base to prevent vandalizing, but I vandalized it myself when I forgot to push it down when I took the car into an automated carwash (yeah, I know - stupid me)

I've got an antenna key that's left over from some previous car. It's round
and hollow. The antenna went all the way in and locked, and to pull it up
you had to push this key in and pull it up with it.

My grandparents' Hillman Avenger had one of these in the seventies, and I
don't think they're that unusual, even today.

Is this the kind of thing you're talking about, or is it something else?
