I've got an antenna key that's left over from some previous car. It's round and hollow. The antenna went all the way in and locked, and to pull it up you had to push this key in and pull it up with it. My grandparents' Hillman Avenger had one of these in the seventies, and I don't think they're that unusual, even today. Is this the kind of thing you're talking about, or is it something else?
