All the cables attach to the body the same way. They differ in how they attach to the seat. Here's haw the seat end differs: Early: the bare end of the cable passes thru a cross drilled bolt and is clamped by a nut and star washer. Late: the bolt is no longer cross drilled and the cable has a special oval eye molded onto its end. You just loosen the nut and slide the oval until the distance is right. But I don't think either of these affects the hinge, so I'm still confused. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
