I fitted them today! and they did fit perfectly- they were as per the equivalents list on Daves site but I can't remember what. But WHAT a job! I don't think VW could have made them more inaccessable if they tried- right up in amongst all the other tubes and cables coming out the tunnel- it made the fronts seem like childsplay! It may have been fine when assembling in the factory dry, but when you're on your back in the wind, worrying about your jacking, barely able to get your fingers let alone a spanner to the fitting, then when you do you've got fluid running down your sleeve, into your hair and everywhere else, taking any paint in sight with it, while you're panicking, trying to unscrew it quick to avoid emptying everything!!!!--- argh ...deep breath-- but its done. And it has really made a difference. The ones I took off were FAG parts so maybe they were the original. They weren't blocked at all but a bit narrowed- down to 1mm in places ( I disected them to see). So I don't know if that narrowing was enough, or maybe its just that they needed a good bleed, but when you hit the brakes now you hit something hard, not soft and squidgy. Maybe the narrowed hoses were acting like springs as they expanded under pressure? Oh and my car drove perfectly again this morning!!! I have had the battery on charge all day so will see if that makes a difference in a while when I drive home. I have put up some photos on the T3UK site if anyones interested- mainly of rustoration so nothing too fascinating. You have to log in so unfortunately its not so accessible.
