I picked up some penetrating oil a while back from aircooled.net Guess I'll try that. It's probably just surface rust. >>> That's a damper or muffler for the pump. I really don't think it's needed. I had to cut the hose off the tunnel line and the clamp on the muffler itself was one of the old clip kinds that I had to cut off. The fuel filter is supposed to fit on a bracket above the pump, right? My filter was hanging free and it didn't look like there was any room for it on the bracket that was on the car. I bet the bracket was already broken and replaced at some point. One of the fuel lines was new, but only one. I also noticed yesterday that #3 injector looks newer than the others. I'll be my problem with #3 cylinder was fuel-starvation related? Since nothing I did (torque heads, adjust valves) fixed the low compression, I'll bet at some point the PO had a fuel system problem... > $7 for a pair of bushings, plus $5 shipping. > Anything else you need? Well, I don't want to get into replacing things before they necessarily need replacing, but you saying something that you recondition master cylinders and that first-timers probably shouldn't do it? Do you think it would be worth it to send you mine, even though I don't know its condition and have you rebuild it (if it's rebuildable) when you get around to it? It's been sitting dry for quite a while I believe. Probably close to a year. That way I know it's good and it's one thing I hopefully won't have to worry about for a while (got a little scared by recent posts here about leaky MC's). I could just pay you for the whole deal and when you were done you could just ship it back to me with the bracket? If you don't have time to take that on, or don't think it's a good idea, please let me know. I'll try to think of something small that I might need... Thanks...
