supposed to look? (my Bentley hasn't arrived yet) <

It sounds like you might have a vacuum leak, check all of your hoses. Also
you might want to invest in a haynes manual, as they are really good for
carbs, since the Bentley doesn't cover them.

>The electrical system is still in poor shape, when I turn the turn
signals on, both the arrows light up. I don't know if that's normal or
not. The light switch works, when I pull it out, the dash lights go on,
I don't see the headlights, nor the running lights, so I guess they are
burnt out. There is a button between the speedo and the clock, but I
just cant figure out what it is. What's it used for?<

Both arrows are supposed to light up, this is normal. You might want to
remove your fuses and clean both ends of them and the terminals (my 69 Square
needed this too). The button is a brake warning light and test light bulb
switch. You press it while the key is on to test the bulb, if it comes on
while using the brakes, one of the 2 systems has a problem to let you know it
needs to be fixed.

>The brakes... Well, we removed the master cylinder, and also the front
disks. The front disks are extremely thin, so we cant get them turned
(when they laugh at you, it's a clue). I haven't even looked at the rear
drums.<

Ghia parts can be used here, but you need to pay attention to the wheel
bearing size, as different years got different sizes. I know what you mean by
the shop laughing at you, as I had a set of drums that I needed turned and
they laughed at me about them (customer job). I've also had a set skim cut
before, told the guy doing it that I really just wanted the rust knocked off.
: ) It sounds like you've got a good handle on things so far, keep up the
good work and I hope this helps. : )
