A differentiator between '66 & '67 are the dash knobs.
If they are long and slender it's a '66.
If they are wide and rubber edged, it's a '67.
If it has a emergency lights knob, it's a '67.
Sounds like a '66, if it has white knobs.
I think from '67 on, the knobs were all black.

Looks to me that it is probably a '66 or 67.
