Check the valve adjustment. I may be a tight valve. Or, if this engine
has been sitting for a long time, it could be a chunk of carbon under
the valve.
If you find a tight valve, check it frequently after getting the car
running. If it tightens again, expect to do a valve job and replace the
exhaust valve guides. And never reuse exhaust valves during a valve job.
