If you're looking to build a dragster, this would probably not > be your best approach. I used to have a 1835cc engine in a bug with the stock carbs on it so a 1776 should do just fine. I just dug out the piece of paper that I scribbled the jetting on- it had 140 mains, and 155 air corrections (made both sides the same sizes unlike the stock type 3 jetting). It was close, but never spot on, but it should give you a starting point. The engine ran out of puff at the mid 6K rpms, but had really good torque which IMHO is a good combination for a street engine.
