I made a special purchase of a 5/32" (3.97mm) reamer to clean paint out of these holes, and that turned out to be slightly too small. The clips will fit in, but one of the 4 legs will break off if I push the pin in to try to lock it in place. It seems like it just can't be much bigger, but it's probably something like 4.2mm. Anyone got any better data? The actual holes in the sheet metal would have to be a bit larger still, to allow for paint buildup in the hole, so maybe they are 4.5mm (.1772".). 11/64" (.1719") is 4.37mm, 3/16" (.1875") is 4.76mm. I'd drill test holes in some scrap first. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
