Pumping the 69 doesn't do anything other than confuse the Brain. Holding the pedal down 3/4 is a reasonable thing to do, and if this helps it probably means that the engine is running too rich. What kind of gas mileage are you getting? Have you checked your charging system regulating voltage? > I was at the local junkyard yesterday and picked up some parts just > for kicks. Put the correct (311-B) pressure sensor back on. The later sensors have a feature that doesn't work properly with your system. Check the charging system regulating voltage: Engine warm after a drive, medium RPM, voltage at the battery should be 14.1-14.4V. If it is below 13.5V replace the voltage regulator with a new Bosch 30 019. Look under the RH intake air runners. There is a small can suspended there. It should have a hose running to the intake air distributor. Is that hose there and intact, and connected at both ends? Make sure the pressure sensor hose is connected at both ends. Check the engine while running, for gas leaks. There should be no wet areas on the fuel hoses anywhere. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org
