The others will correct me where I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the
injectors don't get 12v at their connections, I don't have the specs infront
of me but it is lower. Also, the injectors work when they are grounded by
the control unit, they have power at all times.  Additionally, without being
connected to the fuel system with 30lbs of pressure, your not going to get
any results, even if connecting it to 12v operates the injector.

I think you find that they can only be tested in the car.
