The rear window rubber was a WCM unit I had from before, I hadn't put it in until I did
the once and final restoration, otherwise it would fall apart in the sun. The front is
from ISP West and is a OEM German seal, the difference is apparent just from handling
them both-more substantial, denser feeling and the weld area at the bottom where the two
ends join just looks better.

Definitely, the curse of the semi-tropics; very little rust on cars that come from this
area (not so on Northern transplants, my own as a prime example) but the sun is brutal on
rubber and paint jobs also. I've never had a VW of any type down here that didn't need
all the rubber worked on. The Notch I'll try to be a little more proactive on, lots and
lots of protectant.
