[T3] Rear brake leaks and some other questions

I need some information, please help me again!
I own a 1970 notchback with dual carb and automatic transmission.
1. Brakes
Both rear cylinders are leaking. There is a lot of brake fluid behind the 
drums, and it makes tires and floor oily. Last week i tried to replace the 
leaking cylinders with the two new ones i have, but i need some help (i did 
a similar job only on an austin mini).
Well, i raised the rear of the car using 2 jacks, get off both wheels, of 
course released handbrake, unscrewed 2 screws (i supposed them to hold the 
drum in place), then trying to pull out the drums.
No result, the drums didn't move at all from their original position, 
although turn freely.
Carefully i used a plastic hammer too, but nothing.
I have only Haynes manual and didn't found useful information about it.
How can i remove them? And how can I clean oil from drum and pads?
2. Fast idle
When cold, at idle the engine stops. Carbs are clean and well adjusted, 
ignition timing and valves clearance are both ok. I have checked chokes in 
the following way: removing air cleaner, full depressing accelerator to set 
chokes, at this points both choke valves were closed (horizontal position), 
switch on ignition and after about 4-6 minutes both valves were open again 
(vertical position). I tried to move valves and i feel a quite strong spring 
tension, but have no idea about the internal assembly.
The problem is the idle: it does not increase when cold and until the engine 
does not reach the operating temperature the only way to get the engine 
running is by acting on accelerator. It's not easy with an automatic :)
With the engine warm the idle is fine. All the fuel system components are 
original.
Finally, because a water leak from under the doors, there is mildew on 
anterior carpets. How can i remove it?
