how do you tell the difference? i've heard that there have been cases
where it looks like a generator but it is and alternator, etc.....mine is
either on the fritz or i am having wiring (minor) issues and i want to be
sure what i am looking at or needing to replace. the said part is in a 67
fastback, but certainly not the original engine, it is however a 1600.
thanks for any advice or detail in this part description....
