<x-charset iso-8859-1>Not a true 'yes' but my father bought one new in August 1964, a sea blue 1500S Variant. I was i/c of cleaning it and took a close interest in its health. I would have been 18 then; I think I mostly drove his Fjord blue Beetle though. Ours had about 30 miles on it, as they were driven over from Southampton to Bournemouth by the garage. Dave.
