Keith, when I tested my fuel pressure it was 3.5 at idle, and my buddy said it didn't drop at WOT or high RPM. I beleive this is original pump, but might have different spring rebuild. I also got an NOS single carb pump rebuild kit today (oops wanted later one). The Elfrink manual clearly describes the operation of both types. It calls out the pressure for both types as 4.5 psi max (with the outlet plugged past the gauge). The manual says the pressure is directly related to the main diaphragm spring pressure. Everett, didn't you tell me the spring could be tweeked? By the way, the Elfrink manual is the best for explaining the operation of all types of carbs too. It has cut-away diagrams of the PDSITs for each fuel circuit.
