Very interesting. I would not have expected it to be volume limited. I have a 73 with dual carbs, scheduled to be returned to FI someday, which uses the FI electric fuel pump with the FI pressure regulator set to its lo ~20psi, its minimum setting. This is followed by a series pressure regulator which drops the pressure to something more normal for a carb.
