How do I unsure that it is connected securley > enough? It's fairly common for them to pull out of the carbs, but I don't think I've heard of it happening to a pump before. Nevertheless, they are just pressed in and can just come out if they get loosened somehow. The explanation I've heard that makes the most sense to me is that when you attach the rubber hose to this nipple you should leave a small gap between the end of he hose and the body of the device. If you push the hose right up against the body, there is a pretty good chance that tightening a hose clamp there will squeeze down on the hose and force it out in both directions. This tends to "jack" the nipple slowly out of the body. I think the best repair is to gently sandpaper the inner end of the nipple and then reinsert it with some of the Loctite Sleeve and Bearing Mount. Let this sit overnight before using it and it should be good as new. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
