Berg claims pressures above 200 psi with high rpms and cold oil. I don't 
know WHY anyone would do this to his engine, but there's always someone.

Then consider what Berg thinks of as cold and what Keith and I see every 
winter! I built up my winter engine with the pressure relief pump cover for this 
very reason. For most cars driving moderately for the first few minutes to 
allow for engine warmup is probably sufficient, and always prudent.  

Even at 100 psi, there is over 1200 lbs of force trying to tear that filter cup off 
it's end plate. Those sq. inches tend to add up quickly!

Brian, where did your filters fail? Did they just deform and leak at the seal, or 
did the crimp come apart?
