<x-charset iso-8859-1>Rob, I would remove it. A '63 Notch is nothing to do halfway. It may not get
worse fast, but it will not get better. Prayer won't work on this, only
chemistry and physics! And: No, you can't tell how bad it is without seeing
all the metal. The factory sound deadening material is a nuisance to pull
off, but it could be replaceable with something even better than original
(pragmatist in me, not the purist speaking), as it seems I've seen reference
to improved materials for this on this list, although it might be another
one I'm on. That replacement would be done with a smile, once you know you
have licked any rust problem there is for your lifetime with this car.
