<x-flowed>well, i think i have most of it figured out. all of the previously mentiopned wires are there. but the one from the coupler, in the car, goes nowhere. here is a pic of what i have.

yes the previous owner cut an access hole in the column head, i don't know why, but its helps for the current problem. the brown wire danglking down is coming from the coupler in the column head. but all of the wire positions in the multi-plug are taken up. if i touch the brown wire to the far right wire (brown/white-stripe)in the plug it will sound (with the horn ring pressed down of course). so is there something amiss other than the hack job thats been done? how can i get these wires connected and still be able to remove the turnsignal assy, or the multi-plug?

The ground wire returns from the horn and connects via an insulated bearing
to the steering column shaft, which is electrically floating.
