<x-charset iso-8859-1>So will 235/75 15's run alright on 5.5" rims. Don't ask why. It will probably be happening in about 3 or 4 months. Warning: that's not such a hot idea... I did it once, and I'll never do it again. I used 195/60/15 on all four corners of a Ghia with 4.5" wide rims (same as T3 rim, but different offset from bug rim). There was a LOT of sidewall flex during cornering!!! Heck, even a swift lane change could make you feel the sidewall flex! VERY sloppy feel. Needless to say, the swap to 5.5" rims with the same size tire made a WORLD of difference in handling. Rough rule-of-thumb: you don't want to your rim to me much smaller than 70-80% of the tread width. 195, 205, 165, etc. is treadwidth in mm. Rim widths are in inches. You can do the math :-).
