If it gets frequent, you will need to do something about it - probably a new joint (more likely the outer as the lubrication dries up more readily in that one). Mine started doing it a year ago, but it stopped again after a week or two once I put a spare driveshaft and joints in the front trunk just in case. I ought to sort it out really! We've done maybe 5,000 miles in the year, including one full up with camping gear to the European Type 3 meeting, without further noise. Dave.
