Another tool is an old fashioned pencil, not the pointy end, the other one. The one with the rubber abrasive on it. IT has just the right material at the right orientation to rub off a little corrosion on recessed light bulb holders. Works for bulbs too. Polishes up the surface. When changing light bulbs, slight differences between bulbs places contact at different spots, and polishing them up provides more opportunity for a clean contact.
