I don't know, but I would be willing to bet that the new chrysler hemi-head combustion chamber shape is not the same as the old true hemi. With advances in technology and theory, I bet the new chamber has more quench and it is the spark plug location that simulates the "hemi". I would also be willing to bet that the piston design is different. Maybe I am just all "wet" again with my thinking. Was the Berg Semi-hemi called that because the spark plug could not be centrally located? I have never seen (nor really want to) semi-hemi cut heads.
