>>A while ago Jeff Palmer had asked about his oil breather cap popping off. There weren't many responses but I do >>remember >>this being discussed before. What would cause the oil breather cap to pop off on a regular basis? Would this be an >>indication of high oil pressure? Would the oil pressure relief valve possibly be at fault? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> In my case, I had the same problem, I did want Jim suggested boiling it and etc. It helped, but mine was pretty abused. So when I bought a parts stash with an extra cap, I put that one on. The new cap has never popped off. Plus, the oil is not actually in the breather causing it to pop off, its just the spring inside and a loose fitting cap.
