Remember that paint is a system; it doesn't pay to mix parts of the system. The isolation layer (if used), the primer, the colour coat, the clear laquer (only used on Type 3s for metallics) and the reducer/thinners must all be compatible. I think if it's the 'wrong' colour you will always regret it. It doesn't sound as if they are including much bodywork, so it would be worth finding out how much to do the whole job 'right'. Dave.
