I have no personal experience with the Scheib chain myself, but they have the reputation of being slipshod. I'd get several quotes, and talk to each of them to try to get an idea of what they'd actually do. Keep in mind that warrantees are pretty hard to enforce if there's any question of who's at fault. > Now, should I go with that, or should I have him match the Marina Blau > exactly? That will also give you an idea of how much effort they will actually be putting into the painting. For any real body shop there should be no real difference in the price for different colors, unless you get into fancy metallics or multi-layer coats. Can they tell you what paint they will be using? Is it a trusted brand, or is it just the Earl Scheib house brand (no name, whatever...?) I'm getting visions of a paint can with a plain white label with large black block letters that say "PAINT, BLUE." Anybody ever see the movie "Repo Man?"
