[T3] Flat 4's Vintage Squareback Roofrack review

I finally got my roof rack! I had been anticipating its arrival since February, when Moon Eyes was originally supposed to get them. It took seven months, but Im happy to have it now.

It arrived via UPS, some-what disassembled, in a big box. MoonEyes did a good job packing it, doubling up the cardboard on either side. Putting it together was a pretty simple process, however, one side was frustratingly too tight. I wrapped my hammer with a hand towel in order to get the screw holes to line up but still managed to mark up the powder coating in a few spots. I am somewhat annoyed with that, but I'll probably have the tubing painted when I have my car done. The wood slats are probably not the best quality, but it looks like you could take them out and put your own in if you wanted to make them custom. The entire rack itself is pretty big...56 1/2" total end to end, and a little over 43" wide. It came with all the necessary hardware, and the 6 "T" legs that fit into the gutters came with rubber ends so your paint job wont get scratched up. All in all I am very pleased! It was pretty cheap too. With shipping it came to $312. I think ISP West has one on ebay every now and then for $350+$60 for shipping and when I called PIP they were asking $500-$600+shipping. Now I cant comment on the quality of those two since I have never seen one in person, but for the price, the Flat 4 rack is wonderful.

If anyone is interested, I could take pictures and email them or post them on a picture site.
