This is exactly the problem I'm dealing with right now. I have dual 34 ICT's and the only way to filter them is with the pseudo-K&N's that they came with, because the Webers don't even have a central stud/post to bolt the chrome/foam ones on to. I have a stock oil bath that I would really *really* like to use for the superior cleaning aspect + the cooled air from an outside source. The crux of the biscuit is that the Weber hex bar linkage is in the way and no amount of finagling will find a way around it. I've considered drilling a hole through the oil bath reservoir and welding a tube in for the hex bar to go through, but I'm thinking that would disrupt the air flow and defeat the purpose of an oil bath. I've seen home fabbed, PVC and aluminum jobbers that hook up the filters to the stock air inlet on the apron, but I am not going there. If anyone has a better solution, I'm open for suggestions. Thanks, David Walters '73 1600 L Notchback S. FL, USA BTW-weren't there a variety of OEM air cleaners available for our cars? Different dimensions and what not, I seem to remember seeing some or reading there were different ones somewhere... ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/ ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
