Most laptops have a proprietary IDE connector, so getting a standard DVD to fit is a bit hard. You could buy a FireWire PCMCIA card, and a FireWire DVD player, that would probably still be in the $6-700 range though. Or, you could go and buy a new one, but it depends on whether you want to spend $4K on something to pull apart and put in your car ;-) BTW. Are you going to come down to the run to Raglan?
