After all, air is I can't imagine why someone would use those on stock dual Solexs. I go to a lot of VW shows around here (Central FL) and people who use other non Solex dual carb setups always use some type of filter like this. I think if I was doing that I would try to find some way to either adapt the stock air filter or duct in air from outside.
