Ok, I am stumped. I am helping a buddy with his `69 type 3 square. All new brakes all around EVERYTHING NEW and all german ATE MC, calipers, wheel cyls, lines hoses. Here is what system is... -dual cicuit MC -front circuit 2 lines for fronts and one switch, back(towards driver) 1 line for rears and one switch. -Disc brakes up front -drums in rear -Rears shoes adjusted perfectly new pads in fronts Ok...here is the prob. I am getting only half pedal after hours of bleeding. I have bleed traditional way...with hose and jar starting at farthest away rear then other rear. Then front right and front left. Ok, still half pedal. I use my Vacumm bleeder on all 4 wheels....ok still half pedal!!! I have un hooked the line for rear circuit and bleed just the front circuit..I get more fluid flow but still no pedal. I have becnch bled the MC, I have tried removed the pedal assembly and bled using a rod making sure I was getting full travel. Always the same thing...rear ciruit working great and nothing up front. I actually getting fluid through the front just opening the bleeders and letting em gravity bled. Just with the pedal or rod by hand I get hardly any fluid movement. There is absolutely NO LEAKS. I checked 80 times and not loosing fluid anywhere. Again seems at half pedal the rear brakes are activating but fronts are NOT. I have even left one of the rear wheel cylinders open, pedal goes ro floor. i even bled the fronts with the rear open just to make sure I was getting that circuit bled. Yep lotsa fluid. Ok still half pedal! And I now open front circuit with rears shut...damn hardly any fuild moves when pedal is put down again to half way. What the hell is going on. Is the NEW ate mastercylinder junk? Is the front curcuit bad? Am I retarded and missing something? shit HELP ME! __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
