Mail upgrade by Cedant

Dear Greg Merritt,

In our continuing efforts to provide a more reliable and
secure email service, Cedant upgraded our primary email
server hardware and software on Friday (11/15/02) between 8
and 11 pm. Although there was no downtime as a result of
the upgrade, there are several items that affect only those
clients who use web mail to store email.

The new server will not contain stored or saved web email
messages. If you need access to these emails, you can 
access the old web server in the following way:

Log into web mail via http://mail2.cedant.com (using your normal email address and password). This will allow you to 
read your saved web email. If you need to retrieve these
messages, this can be done in one of two ways:

1. Use POP email software such as MS Outlook to connect to
the old server and download your email messages to your
computer. The POP server you would use is mail2.cedant.com.

2. We can transfer the contents of your email account on 
the old server to the new server if needed. Please submit a
request at 

http://cedant.com/support/forms/transfer_mail.html. 

Please allow 24-48 hours for this to be completed.

Please retrieve this any stored email asap as the old email
server will only be available through next week.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We 
expect this new server to provide more reliable and secure
email service to our clients.
