Hi Jim, All, Don't worry, I have no intention of fully giving up on the matching case. I also thought of RIMCO for the broken stud, and of course case savers. I just lost heart for the time being. I was just thinking it would be nice to be able to start, and move the Notch under it's own power. That was until I discovered the carnage! I'm in the middle of RUSToring my '67 Beetle, and the Notch will have it's turn next, one project at a time, stay focused. First the body work, then the mechanical. And with only being able to work on them on the weekends, and an upcoming house remodel, it's going to be a LOOOOOONG wait, SO EXHALE, INHALE, repeat...repeat...repeat...etc......! ;-) Actually with all this discussion, I may take some time to look at it again.
