This past weekend I traveled from Portland OR to SLC UT to pick up a new toy.. A 63 notchback... Friday 6 pm..Brook,Myself and Nathan loaded up the towdolly grabbed a change of clothes and head out I-84 again headed to Parma ID. Yep, there was the spot of Jacobs infamous 360 ! Yep there is the gas station that John oil cooler gave out....There is the truck stop were picked up the Washington guys...Up and over the Blue mountains only this time in Brooks 99 Toyota 4 runner, the trip felt different, yet oddly the same. Past Ontario...in Idaho....There was the campground....and on we went in the darkness... Saturday morning we pulled into Salt Lake City....Meet with Erick, who had come up from Denver CO pulling the notch with him also. After a bit of down time the car switched trailers, we all exchanged good bye's and we were back on the road headed to Oregon. Traveling back we encountered heavy rains, a hail storm, dense fog, and a bit of snow..all while pulling the little notch right along.. We arrived home Saturday night 11:55pm...all told..we traveled some 1545 miles in just under 30 hours......Am i tired? you bet! Questions about the notch? Tons.....see my next post for all my questions.
