standard 36 bearing are hard to find! - My old 59 had done72K miles (well it had 72 on the clock, and, according to the sticker, had a service due at 74K miles... and it was due in 1970!!! - It was put into storgae about then :-)). I stripped down the engine and dicovered it was perfect... except I had lost one bearing shell in the ensuing mess. Do you think I could get any standard bearings? NO! I do have a set of .10 over inside... Maybe they're for the 36hp? I don't know if my '59 crank would take std bearings, but after 100,000 miles I expect it needs a regrind. Dave.
