My car doesnt have sealed beams, it has H4 halogen lights. VW was one of 
the first car manufacturers that introduced the halogen H4 lights in 
series production around 1970.

I checked the sealed beams with the ETKA and it lists a few M numbers 
for the sealed beams. Up to, and including 1966 they are for M273 and 
M297. From 1967 to 1973 they are listed for M239, M242, M273 and M292 
(could be typo for 297)
