<x-charset iso-8859-1>They guy I got my '72 Notch from threw away the old fenders when he was transferred from Germany back to the states. He said that the bottoms of them were all rusted out. He had a '66 Notch he parted out as he left, so he slapped those fenders on the car. They are in excellent shape, but I want the late fenders. I have thought of trying to put a fasty/square fender together with a notch fender. I just don't know for sure if it would work. It will probably be my only hope. I'll check out Bill and Steve's and ISP West when I'm down in California this summer though. I'd love to have the car drivable this August so I can take it to Parma. I'm only 35 miles from Parma now, and by the time of the show, I'll probably be about 20 miles closer. My house goes on the market tomorrow and I get to start looking for another -- this time with a shop. BTW: How many late model notchback owners do we have here on the list? Believe me, I do feel your pain. The only ones I *ever* seen for sale were through T3D in Great Britain a while back and if memory serves me, they were $3-400 a piece before shipping. Personally, I'm looking at beating a bad dent out of mine as it is instead of replacing it for just that reason. It might be easier to take a good late Square/Fasty fender and welding it together with the top seam of an early Notch fender to make a good late Notch fender. Or, maybe we can set up a mutual sympathy society and tell everyone our troubles, maybe they'll chip in to get us a good pair, whatta you think? Hey, you never know..
