RE: [T3] disk brakes on back

<x-charset windows-1252>Being the engineer that I am, I have been thinking about this one a little bit. Not that I think we "need" disks in the rear, but if you wanted them for the "kewl" factor. Anyway, I would think that the T3 rear brake set up would be one of the easier ones to pull off this conversion given our 2 piece rear hub/drum. Have an appropriate rotor drilled for a our bolt pattern and matching the hub center. Replace the backing plate with a bracket to hold the caliber and you have it. The parking brake is always a trick with rear disk brakes, even on modern cars, so you would still have to deal with that, but the basic conversion would be pretty straight forward.

There is of course a lot of digging that would be required to come up with an appropriate rotor to be remachined and a caliper that can be used and the design and build of the caliper bracket, but conceptually it looks straightforward.

Just my 3 cents worth.
