More frequently than that, I reckon.  Soon after I got my first Fastback 5 
years ago, I didn't pay attention to the orientation of the cooling hole.  
That generator burned up after about a week of southeast Texas heat.  When I 
removed the dead generator, I found the cooling hole completely blocked.
