I second this, mine was also sleeping for 15 years, for the first few tanks I kept looking for gas leaks after I would "lose" half a tank on a 15 mile journey. Find no leaks, go to the gas station, and it would only hold $3.00 worth. It still gets "stuck" on empty after hitting certain bumps, making me nervous at times, but returns to its rightful position after restarting the car. It has been lessening the more I drive it.
